Archangel Azrael is one of the seven archangels in the angelic hierarchy. His name means “helper of God,” and he is often referred to as the angel of death, although his role is not to bring death but rather to help those who are transitioning from this life to the next. He is known for his compassion and gentle nature, and he works with people to help them find peace and comfort during times of loss.

A tower of strength, this Archangel’s responsibilities include helping us to heal from the loss of a loved one, as well as from depression and illnesses which affect our mental and emotional systems.
